Overview

Unreal Engine is a Game Engine that has been expanding into all fields of computer graphics for about 10 years, from video games to architecture, from filmmaking to app and software development. Its numerous built-in editors allow for the creation of extremely realistic and interactive environments. With the upgrade to version 5, the introduction of the Real-Time rendering engine Lumen, and Nanite technology, this software has reached a high level of integration with architectural projects coming from various modeling software. The course's goal is to make learners self-sufficient in creating virtual scenarios in Unreal Engine for rendering purposes. The entire workflow, from a 3D model of an architectural project to a scenario created in Unreal, will be explained.

Educational Objectives

Empower learners to create Real-Time environments using Unreal Engine 5 from 3D models coming from any modeling software. Techniques for lighting, material creation, post-processing, and rendering will be covered. Upon completing the course, students will be able to create high-fidelity Real-Time renderings and videos. Additionally, the course serves as an entry point for students into the fascinating world of Unreal Engine and its many applications. An overview of the entire software will be provided.
